Stay Sharp Diamond Tools was started in 1980 as a small partnership concern. The investment in equipment was a bare minimum and the manufacturing technique used for making segments was that of infiltration. However, as the promoters were qualified engineers, they soon realized the limitations of the technology and inducted better manufacturing techniques. Simultaneously the legal structure of the unit was changed to a private limited concern and in 1983 Stay Sharp Diamond Tools Pvt. Ltd., as it is known today was born.

The group companies of Stay Sharp have always been closely associated with stone processing. The quick feedback of tool performance from our stone processing units has resulted in the development of quality tools and Stay Sharp being able to avail of an in-house field testing facility for its tools.

The real strengths of Stay Sharp are, however, an understanding of powder metallurgy coupled with an understanding of the mechanical and chemical parameters which affect tool performance. This has resulted in the development of a wide range of diamond tools for the stone processing as well as for the construction industry.

Looking at the similarities in the tools used in the construction and stone industries along with the fact that demand for construction tools in India had just started, Stay Sharp decided to enter into the field of construction tools five years back to cater to the domestic market. Since then, we have created a separate division for construction tools and with insight gained in the initial period, we now offer a wide range of construction tools for both the domestic and the international market.

Stay Sharp also follows state of the art production techniques which result in an improvement in quality along with an increase in productivity thereby lowering costs. Last but, not the least Stay Sharp makes its own proprietary pre-alloyed bonds to suit different applications. Needless to say that this allows us to offer a high quality tool at a very reasonable price.
